If you want them to look the same yup pretty much, colour temp is important but also what led as some are floody others are a spot beam.
What are they for anyway, could try asking on candlepower forums.

The LEDs on a KL are - as far as I can tell - standard 3mm types. They'll run off about 2.0 to 2.2V depending on the colour. It's very unlikely they'll be 12V types.
The good news is that you don't necessarily have to replace them with identical ones - so, for example, you could go for 5mm instead if that looks better depending on where you install them. You might find white or blue ones a bit dim, though, because they require a slightly higher voltage.
At a guess, this might be the sort of thing you'd need:
SPC TECHNOLOGY|HLMP1523|LED, 3MM, GREEN | Farnell United Kingdom

I have to say that, space allowing, I was going to go for 5mm as I like these:
Rapid Electronics - Electronic Components > Optoelectronics (LEDs), to fit them, makes the whole deal look professional.
