As the title really....was looking at doing the NY Marathon next year. Have just checked out the price and they want $265 / £165 just to enter.
Done London this year and it only cost £30ish.
Do you get anything else for your money apart from 26.2 miles.....

I did it - 2004
I got a sweatshirt & a goody bag with some food bits & a medal for completing - that's about it.
What you do get is a fantastic day - big crowds cheering you on for the entire 26.2 miles.
It's the only marathon I've done, so can't compare to others, but it was a fantastic experience

Anyone else recommend a marathon abroad...
