Royston Vasey - very funny live, but does tend to get much of his humour from gratuitous use of 4 letter words....

I dont find him funny at all. His type of humour is very old and mainly wrapped around swearing and being childishly vulgar.

Worst "comedy" experience of my life when i saw him. Didn't really know what to expect but almost felt sorry for those around me wetting themselves every time he said **** for the umpteenth time. He must wonder how he's got away with it for all these years.

Must agree, but if someone has a mental age of six I'm sure they'll find him hilarious!

I download a chubby brown dvd once, and watched about 10 mins of it. The funnest thing about it was the audience. Ive never seen so many inbreds, fatties and ugly people in one room, all lauhging hysterically at pi55 poor childish jokes.

Im going to get some stick for saying this, but Roy Chubby Brown is very ........ Northern !

As oppsed to say michael mcintyre whose entire routine appears to consist of "Well it isn't like this in North London!"

Chubby is old school and may be past his best but he has been a great performer in his day. I saw him just before he released the 'Who the F is alice?' song and i have to say he was really good. Not the greatest ever but a solid performance. As i say, might not be as sharp now but back in the day he was a rude, but good social commentator.

Thanks for reminding me, "Who the F is Alice?" song, whats exactly funny about that then ? Its just the pointless swearing. M Mcintyre isnt that funny either, he's watered down his shows for TV.

The real talent is in the deep, dark Comedy / Komedy clubs in London / Brighton. Sarcasm at its best, and even better when they get hecklers.

...and is laughing all the way to the bank. Like him or not (I don't personally) he is successful so must be doing something right Doesn't sound like he had the best start in life and recently battled throat cancer so good luck to the bloke.

Jim Davidson....very southern!

I saw him live about 25 years ago and thought he was quite funny then - but this is just rubbish based on the shock value of attrociously bad language.

Actually the version that charted was just random shouting. The version he did on stage and which was on the CD was all about his mate having a sex change and being known as alice. It followed a lot of the same things in the orginal song but with all the words changed. That was the real story behind it. Bit like Weird Al Yankovic does.

Jim Davidson, god, I bow my head in `Southern` shame. Society has moved on and this type of humour just isnt funny.

Still being positive, atleast when there's a show in town, whether Jim Davidson or Roy Chubby Brown, all the village idiots / inbreds can be found in one place !

hahahah

I enjoyed this fella, his last joke and particularly the last line has me laughing every time.

Quite pathetic that you would judge someone for enjoying a comic. Strange how the Chubby fans haven't made any insults. Suggesting you are the "inbread idiot".

Saw him a few years back with some work mates when I did a 'year in industry' at Uni.

Didn't think it was anything special, but still a bit of a laugh. Was quite funny when he picked on people in the audience - but wouldn't have been if he'd picked on me!
