recommend a holiday place in SPAIN or PORTUGAL, so I can play GOLF
after looking at going to Florida next year Fly/Drive and doing 'some' golf along the way, i emailed lots of hotels+ places this week and had replys of stupid amounts per night.
The norm seems between $250-$500 a night + resort fees between ($10-$25 a day) + 11%-12% tax!!!! (best was a $999 per night charge)
This is even in May when the rates go down!!!
Cheapest places were in Kissimee $95-$150 a night!! but not really the places we liked to stay. As wanted to do the Gulf Coast then across to Miami and them back up to Sanford for the airport to get back home.
So now looking to go Spain or Portugal etc...Maybe Turkey at a push.
The deal is I can go to a golf resort as long as Jo has a good pool with facilities and in a nice area to relax .... ... .. . while I golf!!
Anyone been somewhere thats not in a chav part of spain etc?
Looked on the net and not sure how good the websites are as i've not heard of all of them that give golf resort holidays.
have you any links to places too??
cheers

Phil, my favourite course in Tenerife is Costa Adeje
There are also a further 6 courses nearby and best of all, Costa Adeje is away from the chaviness of Las Americas.
If you want the newest course and the most luxurious place to stay then this is the one to look at Abama Resort

cheers again, spoke with alex today from Golf Holidays, Golf Breaks, Golf Resorts, Golf Packages, Golf Hotels, Golf Travel and he's going to get a few packages together for us to look over, Spain and Portugal.
Spain looking quite promising it seems a golf resorts where they have their own course, might be a better option, compaired to being at a hotel and having to travel to course ithat area.

Beware of the hookers there though they dwell around the area and even though I had a missus in tow they still propositioned me.
