Default BBC.........irresponsible journalism, AGAIN!

Loads on breakfast this morning about kids shining lasers at jet aircraft and helicopters.

OK, so it happens, but I'd like to bet it will happen rather more now

Especially since their reporter actually went as far as to instruct kids on where to GET these high powered lasers

Kids have been "taught" jets etc are killing the planet. They're just saving the Earth, but interfering with aircraft, potentially killing people (That's ok by some groups apparently).

It was just as pointless as the article last week about the girl dying from the cervical cancer injection. I missed the bit where they made it quite clear that the girl had an unknown complication in the form of a tumour.

So from that idiotic sensationalism, I wonder how many young girls will refuse the injection and sdie of cervical cancer.

They work on the basis that because 1 thing happens and they report it, the population don't really realise they are talking about similar odds to lottery winners if it happens to them.

Remember we were all going to die of aids?

We were all going to die from salmonella?

We were all going to die of CJD?

Idiots!

24 hours news, internet, hundreds of media outlets all clamouring to fill their respective channels sites so nothing stories are made out to be something they are not.

...whilst I agree with some of the sensationalism you refer to, countries where they have not benefited from education and awareness of Aids, or they put their head in the sand and ignored it, there are millions (literally) of people dying of Aids.

And in this country with the attitude you have just subscribed to, HIV infection and STD infection rates are rising.

You are spot on. This has been my issue with it.

It protects against HPV, a form of genital warts which can lead to cervical cancer. For me this is simply removing the risk factor while doing no education.
