Ruptured the fibreous tissues in my calf.....Ouch!!
Holy crap it hurt, now I have snapped my hamstring and knackered both knees and ankles playing various different sports - usually rugby, football or hockey. Unfortunately this was done warming up for a badminton comp with no real pace at all just back peddling, felt like a bungee snapping in my calf.
That's me bolloxed for a while now just have to relax at home until Monday gutted.

I've done both my calves in my time. Even hobbled down to the station to go to work the day after on both occasions. Hurts like hell for a couple of weeks, but calves more than most muscles, really can recover to pretty much good as new.

It's not too bad just now except when my body forgets that it's broken and tries to walk normally then it's really sore. Not looking forward to the physio as these people are just pure evil no matter how good they actually are.

Will do but at the minute I can't even lift my foot up so back into the Med Centre on Monday so they can asses it again.
I hate being inactive especially with dogs around too.

I've done both of mine together before. Getting out of bed and going downstairs after a good night's sleep is always fun.
Usully quite a short recovery time though.
If that's all you've done and nothing else is found on Monday then you should be ok in a couple or three weeks.

Look on the bright side - could have snapped a bit further down. My wife snapped her achilles tendon playing badminton. Surgery then 9 months physio before she's allowed to start running / doing sport again.
