Would somebody who has allegedly amassed a fortune of £300 million bother to do another job for £1 million that could put him back on a 12 stretch?

I cant understand why he didnt just cash in and retire.

Or was he set up, for rubbing the Polices nose in it ?

He looked well though, lost alot of weight, Jersey must have suited him.

Because is is probably a physcopath.

His life is drug dealing and the related business that involves.

He wouldn't retire as that is probably the only thing that he gets any pleasure out of in life. Doing a 12 month or 10 year stretch is all part of that life. Plus once he is of no use to the people who he buys off supplies to he becomes a risk to them. Once in, never out in that world.

Read his book and you will realise how smart this guy was. He walked free from court in the nineties after being accused of masterminding an £80m shipment of Cocaine in lead ignots. When he walked free, he went straight up to the special agents in the courtroom and told them he was off to spend his £80m from the first shipment they didn't find

He states the reason he didn't retire was because "what else am I gonna do".

You may be right, I have since found out he was only in it for £100,000 that to him is pin money.

I believe more now that he was set up, the authorities/powers that be, couldnt let him be a free man afer he has taken the pi55 out of them for so long.

I don't think you become one of the countries biggest criminal masterminds and amass a fortune like he has by being thick.

Quite the opposite, reports suggest he's very intelligent, extremely cunning and meticulous (sp) in his planning.

I suppose it's all he knows what to do and does it for the thrill, certainly not for the money.

ive also read the book a while back now , he spent alot of time (years) in holland living on a remote farm with nothing in the house i think it was just a telly and a chair the only time he left was to visit the red lite areas

now i see that as a waste of all that money

I suppose money is a drug to some people, why dont most multi-millionaires pack it all in when they hit 5/10/20/100 million? its the power and excitement of seeing a few more noughts in the old bank account.

Perhaps he feels safer inside, only having to watch his back from a known number of people rather than having to constantly dodge other gangsters/ wannabees/ plod etc.
