Hi All

I'm not very good at tech things so advice or experiences would be much appreciated.

I've rcently bought an lcd/dvd/ipod set from Next for the daughters bedroom. Great pic and functions etc

BUT

there is a buzzing noise. it soulds like an old amp type buzz. its more noticeable at low volumes and disappears when the sound is muted.

Is this normal for these type of tv's or should i return it as faulty

btw it is wall mounted and there is no other electrical devices/components nearby to interfere.

What source is it getting the picture from?

Built in tuner?

DVD player?

Satellite/cable box?

If its the latter two, it maybe a cabling issue.

it has built in freeview and dvd and ipod dock on the top. went for this set as it has everything in one and eliminates having multiple cables.

picture quality is fine.

humming noise is also there when dvd or ipod being used.

speakers are on the bottom edge away from dvd and i-dock

Looks a simple enough set up mate, as you say no cables to get noise from. The 4 reviews it has are fine so would say you have a faulty one and I would send it back for an exchange
