I worked for Renault in Swindon many year ago...I would never buy a Renault. My workmates used to share my Audi 80 up and down the M4 rather than their company Renaults. The 11 was truely awful, and the Megane wasn't far off it.
The only good thing that came out of that building in Swindon was a Bond movie.

Never liked Flav and would rather Bernie in charge of F1 over him anyday - better the poison dwarf you know.

McLaren learned nothing from 'Spygate' and tried pulling the wool over the steward's eyes in Australia this year only to be found out up until which they were happy to let Trulli be branded a cheat. As team principal Dennis had to go.
Now we have a team fixing the result of a race. Of course Flav had to go, it's a despicable act and he deserves the book thrown at him as does anyone else involved. I wonder how much Alonso knew?

I'm surprised at this to be honest. I don't doubt the fix is true, but I expected them to be let off with the FIA saying "insufficent or inconclusive evidence"
IMO the departure of Flavio and Symonds is a loss to F1 as Flav was a real character, and Symonds just seems like a really down to earth bloke. I hope Symonds at least joins one of the other teams (going to be 14 teams for the 2010 season remember).
Piquet has basically destroyed his career with this.

after mclaren i think fia will have to take renault to the cleaners, this was the worst possible thing any team could have done.
F1 has now lost what little integraty it had left

Ferrari bungled the pit-stop which resulted from Piquets 'crash', and without that he may have won the championship. If Alonso was involved surely he's going to be off Ferrari's shopping list at best, and banned from F1 at worst.

I wouldn't be surprised if Renault were excluded from F1 over this. Asking someone to deliberately crash is shocking - not only putting Piquet's life potentially at risk, but also that of spectators and other drivers. Remember, Renault almost had a one race ban for knowingly allowing a loose wheel to come adrift - this is in a different league!
Telemetry of the crash is on the timesonline website.

Yeah and what's interesting is I'm assuming Alonso's win for that race will now be void, so Rosberg will become a GP winner, but also are they going persue Alonso for maybe having involvement in this?....

i think they will leave as is as far as results go, it would be too much of an issue to sort out, i think they will be affected fro this season and onwards.
as far as alonso i think for one eyebrow boy hasn;t had anything to do with it, his reaction after the race shows total suprise not even a hint of knowing.
so a switch to ferrari might be even more on the cards

Why thank you and I didn't even use google!
I thought you were being sarcastic akshully in your Renault post.
Given that Renault fixed the Singapore race that would have meant that Massa would have scored more points than he did (They cocked up a pit stop) and he would probably have won the WDC.
I would say this is far more serious than McLaren being caught doing a bit of spying which they all do anyway. Wouldn't suprise me if BMW aren't the only team walking away from 2010.
EDIT - Alonso may not have known or at least chosen not to ask too many questions.

bmw are back in now, they have been bought out and are back on the list to race next year. although numbeer 14 out of 13 teams. there have been reports of FIA taking emergency action to extend grid to 28 cars for next year to allow bmw to compete.
wonder if renault will be booted and bmw will replace them?
