Being of the female variety, I appreciated his 'moves' in Dirty Dancing.

From the BBC
"
Rob Lowe, who played in a number of films with Swayze, said: "Patrick lived a thousand lifetimes in one lifetime. He was an expert dancer, he wrote hit songs, he starred in hit movies, he was an amazing horseman.
"But the thing I will remember him most for was his amazing love affair with his wife Lisa."
Ashton Kutcher, whose wife Demi Moore co-starred with Swayze in Ghost, wrote on Twitter: "RIP P Swayze."
"
Good effort Ashton!

A real shame, And kept it to him self and dealt with it in his own way. Unlike the other ****ing freak who wanted to make money off it!
RIP Patrick Thank you for your great acting and good films!

I think it was probably for the best, he said he was a battler, and plainly he was, but it was a battle he wasnt going to win. At least he went with his Mrs in attendance, a little bit of comfort in the final moments.

+1 for Road House which also featured a blind guitarist, Jeff Healey*, who died of lung cancer in 2008.
* saw him at Rock City in Nottingham many, many moons ago. And, IIRC, there was a guest appearance from Gerry Marsden (without his pacemakers). Awesome gig.

A very talented guy/actor/musician.......was just "one of the guys" rather than behaving like the big "I am" celeb. The world is def a poorer place missing talents like this.
Faced death with a courage and a professionalism which is a true testament to his character.
RIP
