I have noticed that over the years i am less likely to give the finger or swear at another driver if we have an altercation, i prefer to wave now as that gets a better reaction, it really winds them up
Just curious as to what other drivers prefer to do

I don't bother doing anything. I always get cut up by 3series BMW drivers too. the 6series seems to be the only decently driven BMW about though.
Today an Audi A4 Estate side swiped me down a dual carriageway and he didn't even have the courtesy to wave as a form of an apology which i would have accepted as we all make mistakes.

I usually just forget about them as it's not worth the hastle. However the other week I was driving through a 30 at exacly 30 quite late at night, and a guy in a people carrier came up behind me and sat literally inches from my bumper...I couldn't believe how close he was. He was also driving in the middle of the road a few times as if trying to look past to see what was holding me up(at 30 in a 30!). I don't what he expected me to do. Maybe drive through the cars in front of me, breaking the speed limit in the process?
After a few miles of that crap I was starting to get pissed off thinking he was being aggressive, so I just pulled in at the side of the road without indicating. If he wanted to complain about being stuck behind me he was free to do so at this point, but instead he just slowed down a bit, then kept on going! He even had a surprised look on his face as if he wondered why I'd pulled in! To be honest he looked like a gormless old idiot. Lol, he probably just drives like that without realising how annoying it is to the person he's tailgating.

I have noticed though with said 3series gang thou that they signal and maneuver at the same time then check mirrors to see what they have nearly crashed into. I'd be tempted to give a copy of the Highway Code to each BMW driver out there.

I used to scream and gesticulate until I was blue in the face. Now I have noticed that I smile, wave and on the odd occasion blow a kiss. The latter really seems to annoy the target so I am promoting it to my number one annoy the **** gesture.

I normally tut loudly, then write a strongly worded letter to the Daily Mail - either that or wait until I see the Chief Constable down the lodge, and ask if he can't spare a couple of officers to round up some of these people ( often darkies in my experience ! ) and give them a sound thrashing.

I do not react these days, I've got better things to do than get involved with some nobend who either can't drive, can't see or can't get up in the morning or leave work at the right time of night and is late for their breakfast meeting , wife/girlfriend's birthday dinner.
If you came across a right nutter or you got so mad you turned into a right nutter on someone else, its only going to end up costing you some money, time, your teeth, his teeth or worse
5 mins further down the road and they are gone isn't worth getting excited about.
