Swap the Hovis Wheatgerm for Hovis Wholemeal Granary and ditch the avocado and butter and you're right

Any sandwich without bread is okay for me, if not the best.

Not that I don't like bread, but I have problem digesting it. Wholemeal bread from Village Bakery is not too bad.

There is no "best sandwich ever" thing for me. I like a few types.

Anyway, if bread has to be eaten, it doesn't have to be buttered. If butter has to be there, it has to be minimal.

1. Fresh houmous, with sprinkled chopped coriander and beetroot in unbuttered, wholemeal pitta bread.

2. Three cheese and finely chopped spring onions with less mayonaise and no butter on brown bread.

3. Fetta Cheese, rocket salad, and cramberry sauce in brown bread, or wrapped in fresh lettuce leaves.

4. Crispy bacon with grilled tomato+ grilled onions and brown sauce between wholemeal, unbuttered toasted bread slices.

5. Freshly grilled Salman and some fish sauce, wrapped in fresh lettuce leaves

6. Freshly roasted juicy beef chunks and shreds, topped up with a plenty of grilled onions, crowned with some pungent mustard sauce in unbuttered wholemeal french stick.

And many more.

Just to juxtapose the discussion: the WORST thing you can put in a sandwich is sliced tomato.

It's just minging the way it soaks the bread and you get that 'orrible wet bread thing... EUGH! I really like toms - but not in a sarnie... just wrong.

Grated cheddar cheese and strawberry jam is a winner in my world!

Also, Birdseye Waffles, with 2 Dairylea slices, and BBQ sauce is right up there!

Both on Hovis Best of Both, thick slice.
