Default Green Thumb

Relaid the lawn with some nice quality turf this year and have become a little **** about keeping it nicely cut and green. Just had my first visit from Green Thumb to sprinkle some feed and weedkiller.

Anyone else use them?

funny you should say that -- we went to stay with friends last weekend in Cornwall

they have a very big lawn -- lost of borders and paths etc and it looked fantatsic, clean edges and no weeds on the lawns -- v lush and green

when I asked him how he kept it so nice (he has a 3 kids/wife Job and a pretty bad windsurfing habit etc etc) he said Green Thumb

the guys come twice a year -- have all the "stuff" and its sorted -- all he does is cut it

I am hopefully buying a new house, in an acre -- so I might well be contacing them

he said 180 odd squid a year

I indirectly use Green Thumb. I say indirectly as my brother has a contract with them, and I bung him £15 to then come round to my house to do the same.

Noticed a huge improvement in both our lawns since using Green Thumb. They use better chemicals and know what they are doing.

One thing we did notice though was the feed they use also has grass seed in it, and the type of grass is quite rough. So, once all grown, you can see large patches of rough grass, mixed with very fine grass.

A few of our nieghours use Green Thumb as well, and we've all noticed it. Still, got rid of my daisies, and weeds.

ive still got moss :-( Ive got a huge hedge and due to the postion of my house / garden to the sun, I cant seem to get rid of this moss. Even after a few treatments from GT, its still there.

I like daisies too. Used to love Diasy Duke !

Used them for some time. Know their stuff. About 4 or 5 times a year at £19 a time for a decent size lawn and front and side areas.

Grass is much thicker and weeds are gone. No cutting but they can scarify and aerate if needed. And they'll spot problems that you haven't even heard of like Red Thread and greenfly larva infestation (eggs not killed during mild winter).

Well worth it.

Highly recommended - works a treat on my parents' lawn. Don't need it on mine

Green thumb actually came today for the 4xyearly weed / feed

Worth it's weight in gold to keep weeds / crap from growing on the lawn IMHO

I've got some moss but it's due to the fact that the area is in total darkness most of the year.......I doubt that even Ripley from the Alien Trilogy could kill it LOL
