Default Lilly's pups to be, thread.

As some of you know my beautiful little chiuhuaha is expecting puppies in 3 days. I said i would keep up with her progress for those that are interested

Lilly today

Yesterday we had an xray done and the vet can see 4 pups This is very good news as they only have 2-4. If there are only a couple of pups they often cant have them naturally and it can cost up to £1000

She is very near to having them as there have been a few changes with her so fingers crossed everything goes well.

here is the dad to be. he is the one with the sandy patches. He is smaller than my girl. (not me in pic)

We had a Chihuahua, he was a great little dog, people (blokes) seem to think that dogs get hung up on size, they dont, a dog is a dog whatever package it is in, nobody told the Chihuahua it isnt a Rottie so it hasnt a clue its a little fart, so all the blokes get big dogs that trash the house, eat loads and need hours of exercise, samller dogs still do the dog "thing" but are much easier to own, I do laugh at the trophy Dog brigade round here struggling with something way too big and energetic for them, one bloke compounded his situation by getting two, he shouts a lot

I couldnt imagine having a bigger dog now. You get a lot of dog with a chi. My friend has a lurcher and it is forever being sent to its backet and ita always in the way. My dogs are a part of the family.
They have seen off Alsations, Collies, and a Great Dane plus many more

There is nothing funnier to watch

And just for the record my dogs both have 4 legs and they are not hand bag dogs. They were bred to be lap dogs but they can walk as well

Good luck.

I dont like those Dogs, their eyes look like they are going to pop out.

I would like to have/keep a dog but I am allergic to them, thinking of having a yard dog that doesnt mind living in a cabin outside.

Im OK with them outdoors, but in a confined space/house/car etc, they kill me.

Infact when Im with them I cant breath and my eyes look similar to your dogs eyes...

I bet you wouldn't be allergic to a chi as they are further away from your nose than a bigger dog

I once picked up a car from Southhampton docks, its previous owner had dogs.

I lasted 15 mins...with the window open......then had to leave it parked at a services.

The car had been on a ship for months, yet it still finished me off.

My friend has a Staff, and another has a dog resembling a pig.....they are both smallish dogs, with short hair but they do me in too.

Thanks for the offer, but I will have to decline, I would be scared of standing on them.

Clumsey, 19 Stone, and little dogs dont mix.

Very unlikely as she has at least 4 pups. They should be smaller than just 1 or 2. I have taken her temperature and it is very low, 36.7. Under 37,7 and they go into labour so its getting very near now

the dog whisperer did a specific episode on chiwawas. stand up to anything. 250lb mastiff - no problem. they don't seem to realise how small they are. i was waiting on one of his pitbulls to eat the wee thing in one gulp. one of them was called "El Diablo"

I saw the chihuahua one the other day. I was killing myself with the mad one and the Pit Bulls. They were frozen in fear

It makes me laugh as mine are nothing like that but its easy to see why they become monsters

I use to have a black lab about 12 or so years ago who had a litter of 7 gorgeous pups.I was more nervous at their birth than i was at my own kids.At least with the kids i was in a hospital, with the dog it was just me and my ex girlfriend. The last pup didn't want to come out and i don't mind admitting it i was getting choked up thinking it weren't going to make it But all was well in the end
