Blackberry+ 02+ abroad
Hi.
Off on hols soon. I've got my bb on contract with 02 inc unlimited internet.
1) Will internet still be free abroad? I'm pretty sure the answer to that will be no, but will it be mega expensive like calls
2) How will my email work? Firstly will it work? Will I be charged for receiving or opening or responding?
Thanks

Turn off your data connection when roaming as its not free abroad its mega expensive. The unlimited internet is on uk network only, give them a call tell them they can switch the data off or you can do it on your handset.I have a bb storm with push email so it is always checking for emails which is basically going online itself ,so be carefull you wont even know your running up a bill .go to manage connections on your bb then mobile network options, next is data services and chose off when roaming or just off when you leave .

rang o2 and they will add unlimited data roaming to the blackberry for Europe at acost of £33 a month but you have to take it out for a minimum of 3 months. I didn't bother and just made use of the wifi in most bars. Im actually posting this from my phone in magaluf using the free. Wifi on the beach

When we were in the USA I turned data off and used data over WiFi only. As its all over the place I had a good connection and it cost nothing
(just like stevebt )
Roaming data is usually expensive, thats not a bad price from O2 there.
Best part is if your phone supports UMA, and the wifi allows, you can also use it for calls for free too
DS, still enjoying the berry then mate?
