I was looking to apply for a new style driving license but have been told that some of the categories have been changed. The old categorie D1 allowed you drive a mini bus with up to 16 passengers, on the new licences this is aparently reduced to 8 without a medical. I have also been told that the towing categories have been amended.
Does anybody know if this is true or has anybody got access to the new & old style of license and could they please do a quick comparison & post the results.

Stuart, the DVLA website (dvla.gov.uk) says that you can drive a vehicle with 9-16 seats with D1 entittlement, the new license only refers you to leaflet D100 from the postoffice.

Cheers Chris, looks like no changes, someone gave me a bum steer
