Default Disability Benefits

I know everybody wants to stop spongers etc etc from claiming benefits which they are not entitled to but the new green paper soon to go before parliament is going to effect thousands of disabled people from all walks of life.

If you know anybody with a disability who may be affected by this proposal, I would suggest you get them to sign up, or sign up on there behalf against the proposed changes.

I know plenty of people in the town that I work in that are on disability benefit (about 99% of the population) IMO it should be stopped for everyone and everyone has to reapply under a very strict criteria.

I don't understand why the majority of people that are disabled can't work??????

For the real claimants it's because they can't hold down a full time job due to their disabilities.
Just because there are a percentage of scroungers doesn't mean you can punish everyone....

This wasnt posted with the intention of opening an arguement over the rights and wrongs of the disability benefits system,

the green paper will have a detremental effect on a large amount of legitement disabled people, toughen up the system? Yes but not to the detrement of those in need.
