Default Anyone have any long term bets?

Just wondered if anyone had a flutter on future events?

I have two at present.

One of Beckham's sons to play for England £450 payout.
Michael Owen top scorer in the Prem £90 payout.

Looking at some more but need inspiration

I wanted to put £1000 on Labour being consigned to the dustbin of politics for 50 years after being thrown out next year but the payout would have only been £1000.01

Put £1000 on Labour winning the next Election - fantastic odds at the moment.

Think about it - recession over - house prices up - low interest rates - shares soaring - spending held high on the NHS and Education - Tories have yet to roll out some policies (which will show people what they may do!).

Most people will take whats proved to be good - not wanting to risk a change.

Had a similar bet but e/w one 5th of the odd's to be in the top 5, still 4/1 if he doesn't come top, should be a solid bet

Also had money on England winning the Ashes for a while now

Lastly and e/w bet on Russia to win the w/c at stupid odds i've forgotten

I've got £100 at a 1,000,000 to 1 that the world will end by 2012.
