Watch winders

Watch winders
This thread will be like a red rag to a bull for some
Propably mainly directed to Yoza and Nat,
Is there any real benefit of having a watch winder, bearing in mind it's for an Omega Seamaster Chronometer, is there a reason the watch should be kept running constantly?
I keep it in the safe in it's box as I don't wear it for work, so it reguarl runs down between use, I don't want to display it but i'm just wondering if it's damaging th watch not running constantly?

As Nat said waste of time.
That said, I bought a carbon fibre jobbie for mine, used more of a display case because I'm a big tart and I'm too lazy to set the time/date when I want to wear it

Agree with the above, I have 4 autos which I rotate, does save time and hassle resetting. If you only have one waste of time.
Nice way to keep them all together and tidy

I just got a cheap one for around £30. Rotates the watch for an hour then stops for three hours, and then goes through the same process. I wear my watch most days for work but don’t always wear it on the weekends and find if I don't wear it for a few days it will stop so this saves resetting it.
I personally ain't bothered about some flashy box that costs a few hundred quid, just needed something to turn it every so often
