Exactly what I thought. Why do they have to keep churning out re-makes and sequels/prequels? Wouldn't it be nice if they made something original for a change?

Ah but its all good - cos nowadays the young folks will apparently lap up any rehash thats got some goverment overlord/cyber fibre overlay and some has been cerebrities in there somewhere

It's all sh1te! God forbid that you would see a shot more than 4 frames long! It's all about CGI these days. I tried to watch 'Beowulf' a while ago and all I could think was 'What's the point of making a full length feature with real 'name' actors who are then CGI-ed? Why pay that sort of money to hire them in the first place? Why not CGI the whole thing?' FFS!

I had to turn it off.

I happened to watch all of the original the other day, had only seen the odd bit here and there. A classic for sure. I've seen adverts for the remake and am not overly impressed, marketing here seems to be just calling it "Pelham 1, 2, 3", one wonders if the full title is just too long for today's yoof to grasp, so they have to make it short and catchy.
