Tax write down on cars for self employed
Spoke to an accountant today.
New rules now; rather than 25% write down per year ( from memory ) on car value for business use on cars valued £12k or less. Write down is now based on carbon dioxide output.
160g and above only 10% write down.
Only upside is no ceiling on the value of car to which 10% is applied.
Anyone got the complete accurate facts?
How are diesels affected?

Theres various different ways you can put your car through the business depending on how you use it, mileage you do, if you also use it for personal use etc...
They were also talking about having a 100% allowance in year 1 for hybrid cars or very low emission ones to encourage people to buy them.

Die of boredom then with a hybrid.
I only have the option of self purchase (agreed between members of partnership) and claim back expenses used exclusively for business.
