Default Scam Flu

Okay,

Wanted to raise some concerns I have regarding that Gordon Brown Flu, or better known as Swine Flu.

Firstly, I thought it was quite clever how the goverment very quickly setup Swine Flu helplines.

Knowing they need to perpetuate the mass hysteria for this scamdemic, they made it very public to the nation about these particular helplines and what numbers to call.

The result? Any tom, dick-n-harry will call up and ask for advice for any kind of issue they have from a broken nail to sweaty palms (because they ate too much chilli).

The goverment then turns around and publicises the figures going "SEE, TOLD YOU! THERE ARE LOTS OF CASES OF SWINE FLU!"

Interesting how the media is pitching the headlines words like "100,000 Infected" and then the main story states "there could be up to 100,000" - all f*cking speculation and bullsh*t.

My son is displaying the same symptoms he had 3 years ago, for a garden variety flu but the doc has to turn around and scare the **** out of my wife by going "well you know it could be swine flu" ... god damn ignorant doctors, they should stick to injecting morphine for breakfast.

The problem I have is how everything and anything, that a year ago we would have correctly highlighted as flu (which can kill and is a nightmare to deal with anyway), common colds and other things like food poisoning etc are now being branded as Swine Flu.

It's like the YEAR 2000 BUG all over AGAIN!?!?!?!

No doubt Gordon and his mafia crew have got stakeholder shares in the phara companies otherwise they would not be so damn eager to stick Tami Flu in our faces.

Tami Flu is not the big issue here though, it's the new market of pharma products the goverment will be creating, playing on the mass hysteria of the public.

Just take a step back and think, the figures that are being banded about are no different to the figures we have obtained from the past 5+ years for a strain of flu we have had to deal with for a long time.

People have always died from our garden variety flu, it's not a pleasant thing to get no matter what version/strain it is (I ended up in hospital and on drips many moons ago thanks to the flu).

It's just now the thing is a big story, any case whether it is a real flu case or not (how many false positives have been portrayed on TV, only to be later told xxx yyy person died from something else) - so everything is under the radar and seems like a big deal when the crooks start to band around numbers (that actually equate to a small percentage).

I am not denying there is a strain of the flu in the world right now that is quite lethal (which some how accidently fell out of lab.. wtf were the scientists doing creating the ****ing thing in the first ****ing place?!) - but people need to get a grip!

A good healthy diet, good hygiene and some common sense is the best medicine - failing that several bottles of your favourite alchoholic mouthwash will do.

I read something the other day about how the manufactures of Tamiflu had already projected profits of something like 500 and odd % up from the previous year at the AGM, and this was before the Swine Flu outbreak.

How did they know they would make such a huge profit when there was no outbreak?

Cos it was man made.

And the economy? As long as this "scamdemic" is number one in the media, who's talking about Lying Labour's failings on the economy?

I read yesterday that the national debt for every man, woman and child in the UK has risen by £213 in ONE MONTH alone

But who's talking about that?

Not worried, if I get it, i'll deal with it the same as any other flu/cold. An old school friend supposedly had it (according to docs), said she felt the same as any other time she had the flu and recovered inside a week. As said above, common flu is equally a killer so no point in going about anything else other than your daily business.

I agree that the Gov & media hype it up but i'm not anti-labour, i'm anti-politics as they're all full of sh*t.

Proper flu knocks you out for more than week mate. By the sounds of it, you're friend had a cold.

18 years of Conservative government and not one pandemic. Under Labour we've had SARS, MRSA, C-Diff and now Swine Flu.

I think the evidence speaks for itself!

It was reported that Glaxo/something/Kline are charging the country £6 for a vaccination which costs £1 to produce!

Les,

Have you any idea of the cost to a company like GSK of bringing a drug like Tamiflu to market? It takes 10+ years of R&D and trials before it's even considered by NICE.

After a bit of digging: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/new...icle586840.ece

Who else if offering a vacine? If you are good at something, why not make money out of it.

So, it will cost £360 million to immunise the entire county. Cheap when you compare that figure to recent outlays by the government.

Yeah I think it's all a scam to get the drug companies more money. In fact the last flu outbreak was covered up. It happened about 40 years ago in Florida. They had to cover it up so that no one realised that there was no moon landing and it was all filmed on earth.

See, no government can be trusted, scams, coverups and lies, the lot of them.

leaving my personal thoughts on swine/bird/sars flu out of it as i get a bit aggitated when discussing it, what a brain storm to use the website figures to help create the '100,000+ infected' headline!

the internet is THE WORST bloody place to diagnose any illness FFS.

it's worse than the home doctor books i'm sure most people have got kicking around somewhere. you know the book, pretty much whatever you've got wrong with you has the potential to be life threatening

a hypochondriacs dream come true

My point exactly Hoskib.

I don't discount there is a potential pandemic waiting to happen but what worries me is how so many people will accept the vaccinations that will be given out (compulsory or a sentence maybe?) and actually do themselves more harm.

Instead of letting their immune system deal with the problem they get a jab and boom their immune system takes a massive nose dive, a nice window for any more serious health problems to occur.

Interesting how almost all the ones being reported have 'underlying health issues' - well duh of course these people are at risk, they have been for ages from any kind of common cold or flu!

Interesting reading:

12,000 U.S. Children To Be Swine Flu Vaccine Guinea Pigs

(original source to the above link: http://newsok.com/state-kids-to-get-...rticle/3387609)

The biggest pandemic right now is our crumbling economy, a crumbling society and robbing MP's who see fit to steal our taxes but not spend the same money on things like equipping british troops properly because they somehow can't find the money at the time... (I may believe any/all current wars are BS but at sending in your soldiers with their pants down and wondering why they are dying is ****ing stupid)

While it's not technically a pandemic, what about AIDS? And MRSA actually kicked off under the Tories.

Meridian - remember AIDS is from a much higher order than the Tories - it is punishment from God you know

On a more serious note - next weeks flu stats will be interesting.

Now it has gone online with the combined effect of 'flu drugs lottery' everywhere there will be two things happening. First of all there will be a massive number of false positives.

On Thursday our 16 month old son had a 39deg C temperature, earache and no appetite. BINGO - Swine Flu. Four hours later his temperature was normal and he was eating like a pig. The symptoms are the same as teething!

I am guessing the number of 'cases' could easily be over half a million by Sunday night as the genuine false positives accumulate the hysterical false positives from people making it up to get their hands on Tamiflu for stockpiling.

So we have massive false positives for Swine Flu symptoms - this will make death rate and pandemic management hugely difficult to track and manage.

More seriously, some false positives for Swine Flu will be false negatives for many other serious conditions such as septicemia, serious food poisoning such as salmonella or e. coli, kidney failure (at least on false negative case here led to hospitalisation). This is very dangerous - you get what you focus on and everyone is focusing on Swine Flu - poor medical care indeed.

However - having said all of that the Government have put measures in place relatively quickly and would be damned if they had not. We need to diffuse the hysteria and get a more balanced political and media management.

Bear in mind this is the silly season - there is rarely much news in June/July/August and lazy journos are filling their boots on a great story.
