Palmersport Driving Experience Day - July 21st
I have a small group organised there tomorrow and we have a very late drop out.
The normal cost is £830 per person per day. I can offer a significant discount on this. As I am sure you all know, Palmersport is the peak of driving experiences, 7 cars, the only limit is your talent.
You can PM here if you are interested and we can speak on the phone before 10pm this evening.
You will need to be at the venue by 0830 tomorrow morning so if you are coming from Aberdeen you had better set off now

It was very, very wet.
Our group started out in the single seaters with a saturated track. In at the deep end as they say.
Nontheless a brilliant day as usual and the teeming rain simply added a new dimension to the challenge. Had a brilliant time in the Caterham dual against an established Caterham racer. Mind you with a watersprayed track and over-inflated rear tyres for entertainment it was not a 'normal' race for him.
It was neck and neck for each of the three races and I won two-one by hundredths of a second - the race I lost I crossed the finish beam backwards!
All the cars were brilliant and oddly as a 911 driver I found the 911s the least inspiring on track. The most odd, as last time, was the Renault Clio Cup cars - full-on racers just like the Clio Cup. Like playing GT4 on PS3. Totally on/off racers.
Best moment was in the Caterham in the pissing rain with no windscreen - could not see a thing, long right hander accelerating up to around 90mph going sideways with the instructor screaming, 'more power' in the helmet radio! Nuts!!!

Didn't realise until afterwards that there were some famous people there in our group!!!
The Rizla Suzuki MotoGP squad chose PalmerSport, the word’s best motorsport event, for a team-building exercise ahead of their appearance in the British round of the MotoGP championship last weekend.
“It was a great day and I enjoyed the experience,” said Suzuki rider Chris Vermeulen. “I learnt a lot about driving cars fast and safely on the track. Thanks guys!”
Team-mate Loris Capirossi added: “It was a great day for me, I really enjoyed it a lot. All the staff were great and I will come back for sure.”
Rizla Suzuki Team Manager Paul Denning, who organised the event with PalmerSport, said: “WOW! All of us had huge smiles and were full of adrenaline. Congratulations on the best motorsport experience ever!”

So that's who the little Italian guy was. I was distracted by the sweet bit of totty with them. Come to think of it the little Italian was wearing a Rizla jacket!!!
The team name was Crescent Suzuki and they had about 30 people there.

It is easily the best driving experience day and even in these straightened times most days are sold out at £800 a head. It is a bit cheaper in August at around £700.
This year you get a twin camera in car set up with telemetry on a USB stick. Stick it in the PC when you get home and you can see your speed, a picture of you driving and a forward view of the track.
Excellent.

Being a little competitive, I've done it twice......and won it twice.
But it's one of the best days out ever....especially when I get paid to do it
I'd recommend it to anyone.
