What's the best thing you've ever bought?
The best thing i've ever bought is
Perpetual Postcard Calendar at Tate Online Shop
Perpetual Postcard Calendar.
It's amazing, I love it. I can change the postcards around and have different themes each day/week. I get to see all my favourite painting/photo's on a regular basis in one place. Changing the date every day means that i can wear watches without a date function as physically changing the postcard date every morning means i always know what day/date it is.
It is one cool piece of plastic

Best thing I ever bought cost £1.
It is a fexible claw grabber .... bad picture, but this is it:-

It has got me out of more holes than my ladder! Dropped screws and nuts and bolts inside engines and inside suspension parts .... it just lifts them out - simply superb!
It will be in my coffin with me

At this moment of time, it has to be my I-phone
Call me pikey for it if you like, I care not
I had bought many "best" things all my life. My YY Yonex badminton rackets clang much better that any guitar anyone can buy, I still remain a serious fan of my Lean Mean Grill Machine and Dyson vacuum cleaner, my Subaru is a faded icon for me now.
I forgot to add, my recent buy i.e. collectors edition Thriller CD is a platinum possession of mine. I will be proud of it forever.

My Wilson T-2000 tennis racket.
I was the only kid in secondary school with a metal racket and it's power helped me win the school tennis championship.

My cat loves it. She was in her bed in front of it the other day, even though it was about 22 outside.
I wouldn't know how to use a normal cooker.........all those ***** and dials!

Probably the best thing that I had missed out on for quite a few years is Satellite Navigation. I bought my first one two years ago when I was travelling to Poland, I entered the address and 1200 miles later I was there! I was so extremely impressed.
And even now driving to somewhere new is bliss as opposed to the stress of printing off maps etc.. before travelling.

My Scoob, long since gone
My hi-fi, circa 1989. Cyrus II & PSX, Cyrus DAD7, Linn Basik (with Akito and K5), Mission 764i's. Still sounds as stunning today, even compared to the newest kit I've auditioned and extensive listening to mates new kit.

Like the Scoob, also long since gone. T'was a lovely piece of kit though. Sold it to a mate who used it for many years until the motor blew, then he transferred the arm and cart onto a Gyrodek which is still running.
