Default Anyone been to Kuwait ?

Someone casually dropped in an email "can you manage a quick visit next month", initially I didnt notice and he appeared on communicator asking when I would be over, er, whenever they want really, wouldnt get a chance to go otherwise.

Just going to be there 4 days or so plus pretty much a days travel either end I expect, looks like KLM and Etihad fly from Manchester to Kuwait, any other suggestions ?

I have been to Kuwait a few times but not for a couple of years. When I was there it was a relatively free state (there was alcohol and women were generally uncovered). From what I understand it has gone back to being more fundamentalist.

As you probably know if you are going in the very near future, 'hot' doesn't give the temperature the respect it deserves.

Quiet place, very hot & humid at this time of fthe year - as boxst says - mid 40's C upwards. Still booze in hotels I believe. Not much to see, about 7 hours flight from memory.

Was there in 91, I'm sure it's a tad different these days though.
