new kitten with dog
help needed i have a very friendly dog hes very placid 2 yr old not a problem in the least. BUT ive got a kitten today he 9 weeks old and im having so many problems with introducing them the cat has physically attacked my dog and clung onto dear life to him while my dog just cried i pulled em apart and the cat made a right mess of my arm so now my poor dog is locked in kitchen being seperated from the dog - any suggestions please

Put the kitten in his carrier, maybe with a towel over one end and then put him next to you on the floor. That way, he knows the dog can't get to him and will get used to the dog being in the same room. Don't just shove the kitten in the dog's face or force them on each other.
It will get better, but if you've only got him today, he's had to deal with the trauma of being separated from his mum and brothers or sisters, being driven in a big noisy machine to a strange house with a big hairy dog, strange smells and new people! And he's only 8 weeks old!
