I need to order a new washing machine for an elderly relative. Nothing flash, just one that does the job.

It would make life much easier if the seller would also fit it, all the plumbing is already there.

Any idea which companies may do this?

Thanks. Their websites say they will connect if free standing (ie not if fitted)

I can't figure out if its defined as fitted or not! Its behind a door, but unlike a fiitted fridge or dishwasher if you open the furniture door the washing machine door doesn't open ie they are not connected.

Is it fitted then or free standing?

Sounds like its fitted.

Unlike dishwashers, no fitted washing machines have doors connected to the unit door.

Try a local indepdent shop near them, we have several here that do this. Infact they actually adertise this service. You are also supporting small businesses rather than curry's comet etc. They wont be that much more expensive either. Whereabouts are they based?

They are fecking useless. More of a reason to use independant retailers, although I saw your other thread so know why you used currys.

Thanks Chop, I'll give them a ring. The washing machine is 'fitted' and as such none of the big companies will fit it, they will also not disconnect the old one.
