How's the weather Snazy? Any good storms to report?
As for the above, probably get 3 a week at LHR. For instance, did you know that over the weekend, an A319 and an A380 both returned to LHR after depressurisation? Airbus are just getting a bit of press focus at the moment.

lol they sure are getting some attention.
Not getting much more on the story at the moment, too many other things going on in the news.
Crazy live car chase yesterday lol
Mainly storms and rain today, nothing exciting though. Getting told that the weather in the UK is hotter, however we have 41-42 on the heat index here lol. Air temp same as UK, but higher on the index.
Looking forward to the 4th July though
Will get the camera out when the good stuff starts haha.

Lol I'm cheap but not that cheap. Yes we have aircon here, and in the car of course.
Its actually rather nice out in the heat though, as long as you have a drink and a dunk in the pool regularly.
As for the plane being painted, let's hope its having a damn good overhaul before going into service eh!

I flew out there with Thomas Cook and it was excellent, flew back with Monarch and it was dog pump.
Funny that I couldn't get on the plane with nail clippers but once on the plane they served our meal complete with genuine metal cutlery and a real glass????

I can't knock monarch; Always on time, I have free extra leg room and free access to the private lounge. Priority channel through airport security to jump the queue, and priority check in too. What more could I ask from a 2.5hr flight that costs less than £30?
Unfortunately the free lounge access has been stopped; Probably due to the prats nicking the free sprirts and nicking all the food
Well someone had to take over from the limelight cast on Mcdonald Douglas

We should racial profile, despite what certain idiot watch dogs say, a white 29 year old from cheshire going to ibiza for a week isnt gonna blow up a plane, but muhammad jihad flying to new york might do, so search him, not me!
And what the fck am i gonna do with an open water bottle, why cant itake them on board?
This security stuff is a PITA!

Smoke in the cockpit can be not only very frightening but also highly dangerous. The smoke is delivered to the cabin by the aircraft pressurisation system and it is possible that the cockpit can get so fogged out very quickly indeed that no one can see the instruments etc.
We had to practice this problem in the VC10 simulator and when that emergency was called we had to put on a pair of blacked out goggles and then find the correct switches in the cockpit to shut off the pressurisation and to open the cabin pressure controller dump valve in an attempt to clear the smoke. it was quite difficult to find the correct switches and it meant giving the instructor a good "listening to" if you got it wrong!

We worked the A319 on Sat night, it didn't depressurise it lost both engine bleeds and had to descend to 10000 ft as a precaution. The bleed system recovered the returned to Heathrow as thats where our main base is for maintenance.

It was QF, the 32. Departed around 12:15 and returned at 14:25. Over nighted and left the following day.

Would it not have made sense to make the switch in question noticably different to the other switches, so the sense of touch came into play, you know, a lump of blu tak would have done it maybe make all the emergency buttons/switches slightly different to the touch ?
The dump valve was at the very back of the cabin so all the
pssssssssssssst-ing noises went on where you can't hear them
