Default My typical good luck

After spending over £300 this week on getting my car prepared for its MOT which it sailed thru without any advisories I now have another problem with it to fix.

10minutes before actually going thru the MOT my sidelights refused to go on but magically ended up working again. Today all my lights again failed and it seems to be a common problem with my car and I now have to get the Body Control Unit replaced which can only be bought thru the main dealers.

I fear it can only be very expensive

some truth in that,it comes to a point when youll keep spending on a car because one thing will go and then another and another and so on,just depends if you think it's worth spending anymore on it.Happened to me spent loads on a car fixing it up then one Saturday evening was just building my speed up to join the motorway and wham the gearbox went, this was a scoob btw.after that i thought **** it and got myself a new one two weeks later well it was 8 months old, gave my wallet a brake and i didn't spend every weekend with my head under the bonnet.....

to be fair to the little car, this is probably only the second fault i could blame on it being an Alfa The rest have either been down to the previous owners neglect, my neglect or just general wear and tear.

Its such a lovely wee car though to drive, i'd be hard pushed to get something as fun and as comfortable for similar cash.

Could be a poor earth connection somewhere.
