Amazon resellers
Well i've learnt my lesson using them this morning and never again. I ordered a lens for my dslr and it turned up this morning. All looked good until I found the warranty card was from Hong Kong and had no dealers stamp on it. The item was advertised with canons 12 month warranty but the Hong Kong warranty card clearly states the card must have an authorised Canon dealers stamp on it from Hong Kong or Macau. So now i'm in the process of trying to get a full refund including postage costs back from the dodgey **** that is selling on Amazon.
As the saying goes, you get what you pay for and with Amazon resellers that obviously means buy slightly cheaper and not get what is advertised Never using an Amazon reseller again that's for sure. Shonky service, items with no warranty from the other side of the World
If I wanted that sort of service I would have bought off of ebay, didn't expect that from Amazon

I hate the fact amazon lump all the crap in from other sellers with their stuff. I'm happy to buy from them but I don't trust the sellers they have. You should at least have the option to exclude them.

Well they have come back to me straight away and said I can return the warranty card to them and they will send it off to their official canon seller in hong kong to get stamped or I can have a complete refund. They said they have sold 100's of lenses and no issue has ever arisen from not having the card stamped and that the warranty card with the receipt has been sufficient if ever needed. However they are happy to send the warranty card off for a stamp if that is what I want.
I'm going for the card stamp initially to see what comes comes back. Do I believe it will be official or get me a successful warranty claim if needed? Not a chance but then that will only become an issue if the lens goes wrong and I have to make a claim. At which point I will go back to Amazon/my credit card company to sort out.
