New speaker ...
... is John Bercow .... in spite of all the flak he's had recently. Nick Clegg seems to have surpassed himself though according to ...
Speaker Election: Conservative MP John Bercow Is The New Speaker | Politics | Sky News
... "... Mr Clegg urged Mr Bercow to get on with the job of change, telling him: "You have a mandate for change, not just from the votes you won today, but from the people of Britain..." ..."
Ummm. Which mandate from the people would that be then???? Can't remember voting in a UK election recently ....

Haha - you just don't understand, let me explain our 'democracy'.....
In the MPs heads, they were once voted in by a majority of a minority of people that voted. A long time ago. Because of that, any subsequent decision they ever make (e.g. the amount they wish to claim for council tax, the decision not to have a referendum on Europe) is both in the public's best interests and, importantly, with the public's full support.
So that's ok. Move along please

Apparently it is a bit difficult to work out what his politics really are, he seems to have tried all three major party's ideals! The Conservatives reckon he is a bit of an oily geek. Labour think he is wonderful!

He (our Supreme Leader) "praised Bercow's 'great personal strength, integrity and independence." That's rich coming from Madman McBroon, he doesn't know the meaning of personal strength and integrity. Parliament is in a mess, they know it's in a mess and so do we. Government these days is all about political jockeying for position, intrigue, dodgy deals, revenge, manipulation, conspiracy and deception.
The fact that Bercow's campaign to become the 157th Speaker of the Commons was run by Labour MPs and backed by senior Cabinet ministers, just goes to prove the lengths of skulduggery that these politicians will resort to.
As for the British public, we are treated with derision and contempt.

Well all we can do anyway is to stand back and see what kind of a job he can actually do.
You are quite right of course, what the people of this country want is of no interest to them whatsoever!
