Question for Landlords - particularly HMO's
Looking to pick another place up soon, and we was thinking about going for a house this time, but am at odds as to rent it out as a whole house or to rent out the rooms individually, in this case the living room can be converted very easily to a fourth bedroom as it has it's own door and window etc.
I understand there are more requirements like fire doors, smoke alarms etc. But have you found the extra work involved worth it?
Also how hard is it to have the HMO tag removed from the property if say we decide to go down another route in a year or two?
Any experiences that you could share would be very helpful
