How to spend £13k on a 1.2 Clio...
The word HELMET springs to mind here.
Nearly £11k over 5yrs for a 4yr old base spec Clio + £2400 insurance...oh dear.
Makes for some good reading anyway

Your paying £2600 to insure a car barely worth more than the premium and your laughing at him???

I'm paying £200 more than him on the insurance but for that i am driving much more of a car with alot more horse power and alot better looking! I knew i was going to have to pay that much to insure a car of that nature where as i know for a fact you can get insurance on a 1.2 clio alot cheaper! I'm an idiot for paying the amount i do, i know that but i love the car and always have done, but to pay so much for a 1.2 clio is worse!

From what I can gather from that link, it seems like they read the small print out loud and if you're still stupid enough, you go for it. It sounds like they operate similarly to YES Car Credit, just focus on desperate people.

I hate Carcraft with a vengeance. They gave us the hardest sell I've ever seen, lied about the price of a car to get us interested, then got abusive when I said I would never just hand £0000s over without time to think about it (and I quote "That's how it works").
Found the same car for £2k (30%) less at a local garage.

I feel sorry for the idiot, but we all pass our test and have a lot to learn about cars, his lesson is a very expensive one though.
The new Clio is about £10k, with 0% finance being offered and another £2k available with scrappage.
Carcrap are useful for one thing, and that's being able to nosey around lots of different cars under one air conditioned roof to assess which you like. Then leave and buy elsewhere

I honestly cannot believe that thread. I came across it through PassionFord and was going to post it in NSR myself before I noticed this thread.
How can people be so absolutely deluded in thinking that is normal behaviour? He really is going to get into trouble later in life.
When I had just turned 19 I owned a £3600 3dr Focus with 40k on the clock and FSH, paid for with cash despite only earning about £150 a week. Infact, I have owned every car I have ever had outright(8 of them). Of course I lived with my parents, but I think the lad in that thread lives with his Mum too from what I've read. So there's no excuse whatsoever for his stupidity!
What a muppet!
