Default Will the iPhone update work at midnight tonight?


Will the site see thousands of people trying to download it as it hits 00:00 tonight ?

I'm waiting up to try it.. anyone else?

Thougt the change would be from hitting the Upgrade button rather than iTunes!
Either way - Roll on Friday when I pick up the 3GS 32gig

Edited to say - I'm now unable to find an upgrade button. Guess I'll try iTunes :-)

Yeah nothing on itunes It still says 2.2.1 is the current version, it must be coming later

I would have thought, at the very least, it'd be midnight at PDT when it's released, though more likely to be 9am PDT

Hanley is correct, O2 have already stated a 6pm release time.

I'm already running it Apple's servers will be really tested today.....

Been running it for a week now.

No problems at all. Update was fine.

Some nice new features but the main features will come from the new apps now the developers have access to the new tools etc.

lol @ the theme, like I have said before, the iPhone is very pretty, surely thats what themes are all about

Tis quite ironic, but then goes to show that non iPhone users are just jealous really. Can even get the iPhone theme fpr my other phone, the 5800

I was hoping it would be here this morning, but 6pm is fine for me.

All the features will be good, but I'm looking forward to A2DP so I can stream music through my car stereo via my Parrot 9200 kit, not to mention the other bits & pieces.

Never sent an MMS in my life as my previous Orange contract didn't allow it, so not too bothered about that, still nice to have though to bring it in line on the featureset.

Will it be a downloadable EXE, or it it done via iTunes?
