Thumbs up Glade Festival 2009

Just looked to see what dates I will have my weekend ruined ..... only to find that they are not coming to my neighbourhood this year!!! OH BLISS!!!!

If you live in Winchester, you have drawn the short straw ..... expect a relentless thump, thump, thump ....

Any details of said thump thump? Or is it a thump thump emo style, and not a thump thump raver style

its an electronic dance music festival, usually held on the wasing estate near thatcham and within earshot of mr. Lewis's residence.

I've been to a couple and they are refreshingly non commercial. Unfortunately this seems to have changed they usually rely on word of mouth and sell out but this year they have changed venue and are advertising which is a shame as they were one of the few promoters out there who weren't in it to make as much money as humanly possible.

I won't be going this year, it won't be any fun compared to the last three years. Not that I devoted hours of my time in previous years to bribing the sound engineers with an endless supply of cider in return for winding up the funktion one sound systems to levels that'd make a concorde pilot wince for the express purpose of winding PSL up or anything

I spent the first year it happened walking the streets with a baseball bat at 2am ..... I was searching for the house with the party, I was going to smash the sound system up, it drove me so mad .....

Each corner I went around the sound would come from a different area - I finally came to the conclusion that it was miles away! The thump of the bass was mental

Anyway, can sleep easy this year

Don't worry Pete, I'm organising an illegal rave there instead to make up for the lack of Glade festival. Expect it to be even louder and we'll get a load of travellers to join us for the fun, they love a good rave
