Default Any plumbing/heating engineers on here?

Tried to ask my own plumber this but I think he's away on hols.

I have a boiler in the kitchen and a Megaflow type huge tank (about 7ft tall) in the loft. I get really good pressure in all the rooms (?4 bar?)

If I were to install a bathroom in the loft would I still get the same pressure?

Thanks

if it's a megaflow, then yes you will as it's mains pressured rather than gravity

A megaflo will be limited to 3 or 3.5 bar less 1/2 a bar for the additional height of the loft bathroom. This is based on an incoming water main pressure of 3.5 bar though many water providers are alot less, the legal min requirement is 1 bar.

Thanks to 500 and Mog.

I need to know whether these things make much noise. It will have an impact on where I relocate it to within the loft conversion.

I've tried to have a listen to it from time to time and I can't hear it. So is it fairly quiet?

Thanks

you wont have a problem with noise. it only fills when you use hot water even then youll hardly notice it. a toilet cistern is louder an if you can cope with that fine.
pressure wont be an issue as ur on mains pressure and not reling on gravity from tanks above. with a 180ltr megaflow you can comfortably have 3 bathrooms all going at once.
