Apparently Darling KEEPS No10 !
Confusing now, apparently this shows Brown is losing control of the party because he was unable to get the person he wanted in and Darling out.

Alan Johnson is the new Home Secretary.
I'm still in awe of how many people are strongly supporting Brown still.
The line of the day seems to be "Purnell came to the wrong conclusion" Almost like they all got an email this morning with what to say if you wanna keep your job lol

Of course they have to stay strong. If there were to ask for Brown to go, then Brown moving to one side would call for a general election, and Labour would definately loose.
So, its a case of keeping the **** in, to keep thier overall jobs.

Whilst this is all great fun to watch, does anyone actually think that a change of Govt, say in the next 6 weeks, would actually make anyone's lives better?
I see nothing from the Tories and Lib Dems that gives me any hope that they can do better than the current Govt.

There is only one way to find out really, and thats wait and see. Cos its gonna happen at some point.
I think there are so many factor to be considered in all this, its hard to fully comprehend the bigger picture.
Lets be honest though, when Labour took over its not like things changed over night.

Damage is done. Labour have had it -no party will recover when high profile resignations instigate infighting pertaining to the party leadership. That is to say nothing of the fact that the electorate is already sick of new labour; the MP's expenses made it even worse (although the conservatives weren't exactly squeeky clean- you think they would have learned). This, however, will be the final straw.
Unfortunately, people will vote for the opposition, not due to the strength of their policies, but out of disaffection with the current government; exactly the mood that swept Labour to power....and look what a f*ck up that turned out to be.

One of the people interviewed today raised a good point...
Everytime a Tory leader has shown weakness, the party has had the ***** to oust them. Labour have not done this for over 100 years!
The sad thing is, its things like this that prove how little they care about what the public want, and what's good for the public, by ignoring the outcry, the polls and now the election results.

It's all a side-show ..... the real event, the only one that matters, will be next June.
At that time the economy will be in over-drive, we will all return to the huge wealth we have enjoyed since 1997, the sun will be shining and the Tories will have to roll out some actual Policies!!
THEN we shall see who really wants the Tory Eton Boys in charge!

I'm no supporter of Labour .... I will not vote for them, they have stitched me up.
Let's get that absolutely straight.
BUT, I am lending my vast experience of life for the benefit of those a bit wet behind the ears ........ I have seen a Tory Government, lived it, worked through it - and I can assure you that you do not want that over what we have now!
I'm still stuggling to see what Brown has done wrong by the country (yes, he has robbed me of my Pension - but that is personal to me) ........ but it looks like he is about to pull the UK out of the WORLD Economic Crisis - the Tories would have let us stew (in the sure knowledge that their toffie nosed supporters are immune to financial strains).
Maybe we could do with a change next June - June 2010 - but the Tories are NOT the viable option .................
