Stammering help group ?
#1
Can anyone give me contact details or a website for a
stamering help group?
I have a relative who suffers from stammering
and recently saw on TV a help group that teaches people
some effective techniques to overcome this problem.
I recall that this particular course they get the person
to actualy stand in a public location and talk to
everyone to show their progress from the course .
Anyone got any details ??

I know a little about this. There is a British Stammering Association on www.stammer.demon.co.uk
There is a Parents Helpline on 0845 603 2001 so I expect they could give you another number if for adult.
Those I have spoken to urge a little caution in that there are some great ways to reduce problem but the problem does tend to return so don't raise hope too high. Good luck. DL
