Thick parents
Just been for a surf then had food at the cafe/bar on the beach with Mrs Matt and our little boy - sun was blazing so we ate inside.
Just outside were stereotypical chav parents of a little boy - aged about 6-8 months. Fat, football shirts, unpleasant to look at. They had their poor little boy facing the sun with no top on (just a nappy), no sunhat or evidence of suncream and no thought to maybe put the poor little one in the shade. He was clearly uncomfortable and they seemed to think stuffing a dummy into his mouth was the cure for everything. So the poor baby (who was actually quite cute) will be burnt later on and probably has very sore/damaged eyes.
ARGGGGH!!!!!
However, the surf was OUTSTANDING!!!

working in shopping centres i see scum like this all the time.
I remember seeing a chav mum with a new born baby wearing a nappie and t-shirt slung over her arm walking through a shopping centre in the middle of December, no socks, mitts or anything to cover its head or legs. I thought it was disgusting as the baby was clearly freezing as it was evident from the colour of its skin.

Stuff 'em. I bet the poor little blighter will grow up the same as them whatever he was wearing and you won't be too concerned about his welfare then.
At least you enjoyed yourselves!
Have a lovely sunny weekend down there!

And if you would have said something there would have been a big scene..." Who the **** are you talking to, mind your own business baldy, **** off "..etc,etc.
Its got to the point with me now were I dont even think about it.
If its other kids burning in the sun, throwing sand, running in the road, getting out of their depth, playing with matches, or other parents swearing, drinking, not looking out for their kids, **** em, leave them to it.
I little girl (3 or 4) tripped over running to the queue for the icecream van, I was in the queue and thought to pick her up, then thought best not.
And thats how it is now, I just left her on the floor to cry, her elder brother was more interested in getting his lollyice, than seeing to her, and there where no other adults about.
There is a family at the end of our close who chuck their two sons out at weekends in the morning and leave them to play in the road/drives/paths, they dont even come out periodically to see what they are doing, they are 5 and 7 years old, they only go back in when its time to get fed. They played 6 frames of pool in my garage with my son and nobody even called them, they were here for at lease an hour.
My son is 4 and when he is with me or my wife he never leaves my sight, how people can just let them go and play and shut the door is beyond me.
Maybe we are over protective, I dont know.
My son covered in total sun block / shorts / swim top / armbands / cap, and not allowed in the pool without me or my wife....maybe a bit over the top.
My wife being brave...." Look no armbands "

Wouldn't you like to think that someone would help your child if he had an accident rather than just ignore the situation.
I was working on Swansea sea front when a little girl of about 9 or 10 on a school trip fell off a wall and smashed her face on the prom knocking out two of her front teeth and splitting her lip wide open. As their were no teachers within the immediate vicinity I sat her down in the back of my van with her friend, calmed her down , cleaned her up and put her two knocked out teeth into some fresh milk. The teacher later arrived and we took the girl to the teachers car and she was whisked off to hospital where she was stitched up and her teeth saved. I received a letter of thanks from the school and the girls parents as well.
Too many people walk by these days without helping someone in need which is a shame.

Yes I noticed that weirdo in the pool, I had my eye on his Breitling Bentley hoping it would fall off for me to collect.
Chip your dead right, but play the tape again as to what you did, but instead of a friendly teacher coming to the back of your van you had an irrate mother screaming leave her alone you paedophile, what have you done to my daughter.
I read a post not so long back which played out very similar to the above where a guy though he was doing a good turn and was attacked by the kids mother, it happens and its sad.

I can see what your saying , but the vast majority of people are not paedos and would be grateful for someone to help out a child in need. Maybe some would see what I did as wrong ,I don't know, but I am glad I did what I did and I am sure I would do the same again.

I would always (and have done) help a little one in distress.
Easy to get too paranoid - the majority of people are actually nice.
Our 8 month old has no option but to love the water and swim like a fish as soon as he's old enough...
Yoza - I think you've "accused" me of being bald a few times now... Ermmm...

The flip side is that as I drive a mini-bus for a mix of G&T or "special" kids, it's the gifted & talented that make some horrendous comments about their parents, staff, even me !
One lass commented that she wouldn't stay on the bus alone because the only reason I have a spotless CRB is that I haven't been caught or punished yet
Factually correct, but what a sh*tty atitude for an early teen.

Matty ,its not always good to form an opinion on appearance .
You dont know the kid had no cream on ,so his parents ,were not models, doesnt make them bad to be honest .
Sounds like a bit of Snobbery to be honest .

They might have been local - plenty of chavs down here too.
njk - so they applied sun cream to his eyes then? So they took notice of his discomfort, crying, scrunched up eyes from the glare? So they had already applied sun cream to his body before they took his top off? I very much doubt it. Sun cream is all well and good but shade is a LOT better - if they'd turned him around, he would have been fine.
Nothing to do with snobbery - they were doing the wrong thing.
More to do with you desperately trying to pick holes in what I wrote above. Which is a bit sad really.

So the poor baby (who was actually quite cute) will be burnt later on and probably has very sore/damaged eyes.
ARGGGGH!!!!!
However, the surf was OUTSTANDING!!!

Less chance of a door dent with two.
If anyone is looking I used to get out with a limp, now I just give my lad a dead leg and that does the trick.

Unless of course your vehicle is spotted in said parking spaces and somebody in genuine need of that space accidentally runs down the side of it with a small hammer.
Nice to see morals are still alive and well. Lets just hope you never need the spaces for real.
