Just been playing a bit of tennis with my son Orlando on our village green
And wow the trees, grass and flowers are so verdant – that harsh winter and warm wet spring seem to have really done the trick
Everything and everywhere looks sooo beautiful

Indeed it does look amazing!
Our garden seems to have suddenly gone from looking a bit tatty to really rather stunning in the space of about two weeks.
Me trying to be arty last night (I failed):

Only trouble with all these flowers and greenery - LOTS of hard work in the garden! I reckon our lawn needs mowing every three days to keep it looking A1.

The British countryside takes a bit of beating anytime. Sunny Devon has got the bank hedges filled with beautiful wild flowers of all types and the meadows too, waiting to be cut for winter hay. Even if it is raining at the moment!

Les - it's CHUCKING it down in Cornwall! About to go for a nice 13 mile ride in the rain. Not particularly excited about the prospect but it has to be done...!
At least the wind has dropped a wee bit.
A small deer just walked past my "office" window. Seen them a few times now and have no idea where they come from!

Same here Matt, was going to do a bit more bodywork on the Mini Cooper but no chance at the moment. They say it might clear later though.
Could that deer be a "muntjack". I have no idea if I have got the name right.

Yes, does look good, the foliage covers up most of the litter that the light returning in March illuminated.
Why are the British as a nation such scruffy litter dropping scumbags ?

You have got it right but not sure if it was one of those - I know they are very small deer, but that's it! This was small but not tiny. It must have swum over from Tregothnan Estate, over the river!

I'm loving our garden at the mo'. Looks great. So great, I was a nice shade of purple after watching my daughter playing agility with the dog and having no sun cream on

Blimey 84, that's a proper jump!
Big lawn - you must have a big mower?!
I had to get the biggest non ride on I could find - if I got a ride on, it would tip over!
This is actually last Spring:
Done a bit more clearance since then.

..yip, I went for a drive to pick up some spares for the scoob just south of Norwich, and it was lovely.
Just reinforces to me how much nicer this country is when I'm by myself in it

I'll give it a miss, ta. But hey, when you are finished, any chance you could relay my patio, no need to break them up. You'll be an expert by then

Bastid trees interfering with my Sky signal...... knew I should have chopped a few down in the winter months whilst there were no leaves on them.
Before you say go to cable....we cant get cable, and the dish is on a pole.
The trees are not mine they belong to the NRA but they wont lop them even though the things are all over my side and touching my house, the roots have even lifted my driveway.
Not happy.
I am sat here hoping ManU get fcuked by Barca but my screen keeps blocking up, and Fergie has a worse speech impediment than he usually has.

84 - we also have this bit too - and more hidden bits!
About half an acre of grass and five acres in total.
Lovely garden you have - what's that stone wall?
My folks house is 500 years old and they have a couple of very old but mostly broken old walls a bit like that on their land.

Our house is called Stables Cottage and the wall is part of the original ancient old stable that was attached about 100 years ago. Can't bear to pull it down, so it stays there, being a ruddy nuisance

Cool - I love a bit of history to a place.
This is an ex working nursery - apparently Queen Victoria bought some stuff from here once (well was probably given stuff) - she stopped at the quay below and strolled up.
Apart from that, it has naff all history!
My folks place used to have a tythe (sp?) barn so the old bits are the remains of that. It's the oldest house in their town. Lovely place but a b1tch to renovate/repair!
My office view is of the river (see the top pic) - often find myself losing a lot of time just watching boats go by or having a peek at some wildlife.
Isn't nature brilliant?!

You are very lucky to be surrounded by all that, in work and at home.
At my main place of work you can not tell if its light or dark, raining or sunny, windy or fine, its a bit like working in a huge upturned biscuit tin.
If your "lucky" enough to smoke you can go outside the biscuit tin once in a while and look at the cooling towers.

Its nothing like as original as yours, but its a '97 Rover Mini Cooper with the Sports Pack, Britsh Racing Green metallic, which is a nice colour. At least it looks like a proper original Mini. Its good mechanically, done 54K miles only but was parked outside and has got a bit of rust in the usual places. The underneath is ok and I have waxoyled all that and am doing the places on the doors which need attention. Biggest problem was unseizing the rear brake adjusters of course!
Its great fun to drive as you will know of course and we have become very good at missing the drain covers!
