Default Pile of sand prevents climate change!

Holiday homeowner upsets locals by bulldozing through 50ft sand dune to get a better view | Mail Online

Here we have a classic example of how just about any story can be twisted to the Climate Change agenda!

Basically a bloke has bulldozed a sand dune so he can see the sea from his house. But check out the quote from the story below!

Tim Mitcham, of Lancashire Wildlife Trust, said he was disappointed the work was done against written advice.
He added: 'The dune system is a natural defence against climate change and sea level rise.'

Could someone explain how a sand dune prevents climate change please?

No don't be silly Dune system is an acronym it stands for Dysfunction.Unreal.Negation.Emotion (D.U.N.E) system it's basically some sort of quantum machine designed to counteract the imbalance of dark matter in the atmosphere . On a slightly more serious note I think it was more of a prevention for possible "climate change" (notice the speech marks signifying how I have no belief in climate change)

"Dr Newman is one of several householders on the resort's seafront who each own a section of the sand dunes which separate the properties from the beach.

The 64-year-old, a vascular surgeon who has lived in the house for around seven years, said:

'The dunes I have removed were not a natural part of the coastline a century ago but have been formed by the council piling more and more dry sand on top of them which they have cleared from the roads.

'They have effectively been dumping this sand on private land and the dunes have unnaturally grown higher and higher so they are dangerous."

Fair enough if you ask me.

Have done various geology and geography studies at Ynyslas, I can confidently say it has **** all to do with climate. Not that anyone needed me to say that (well, you never know )

It can however have an effect on the the micro climate in terms of it acting as a natural wind break, and it will effect the habitats of flaura and fauna. But if its not protected or a national trust site like Ynyslas, and its his land...**** 'em!! If the loacls want it "protected", they should buy it themselves - put their money where their mouth is!

Anyhoo, he still needs to shift that lampost

Ah - that's the best way is it? Donegal CC in their wisdom have stuck road designations and signs bloody everywhere and the one at the bottom of our road which spoils the view of the bay is particularly annoying, so next time you're up in Inishowen, bring your stihl please

Well its another perfect excuse for one of those PC Plonkers to jump up and down to get himself and his "organisation" noticed.

If he is going to whinge than he should make sure that his complaint is based on acceptable facts.

Like this one then

'Lancashire Wildlife Trust is looking into the implications of Dr Newman's decision and claim
there are protected species in the dunes such as the Isle of Man Cabbage plant.'

I have no problem with someone trying to save the Isle Of Man Cabbage, just don't try and play the climate change card!
