Unlocking a Phone For Any Network?
Hi all
I have a contract phone that really isn't growing on me. I'd like to flog it on Ebay.
How do I go about unlocking it so the buyer can use whatever sim they like?
Thanks
Alan

Usually plenty of shops, market stalls do this sort of thing mate.
I've got my Mrs old phone to sell soon which is on a Vodafone contract (well just run out). If you call the contract provider, can they not unlock it if you're contract is paid up?

Cheers, I didn't realise it was so easily done. I'll just have to find a phone/computer shop that will do it then.
I've only just taken the contract out. I've been using the phone for a few weeks now, so I'm just going to sell it on Ebay, and hopefully buy something decent with the money.
It's a Samsung Tocco Ultra edition by the way. I would not recommend one! So fiddly compared to my old Nokia. You even have to cycle through menus just to find an apostrophe, as it isn't allocated to the '1' button like the nokia.
