Default Watches

It's one of my good friends 40th next week, and I'd like to get him something half decent for it.

I have a budget of around £100-120, and think a watch would be decent for him. As he wears a fake Tag, which doesn't work....if he shakes his wrist the hands move

What can I get him watch wise for that money?

Thanks a lot

You'll be limited for that sort of money but look at the link below if you can stretch a bit.

Amazon have some quite nice watches in that price range. There was a nice Police watch reduced down to £50 or so recently - RRP £150 odd and looked quite smart.

I like Citizen in that price range and you'll get an eco drive for that.
Little stretch but I'd like any of these:

Citizen

Citizen 2

Citizen 3

Citizen 4

Why not buy something a bit more unusual .........when I was in the watch shop buying my Timex for work (dirt cheap and with big numbers) I saw some *really* thin watches which did look quite different.

I'll have a scout about t'internet.

Shaun

PS My favorite watches are Rado, but way out of my league.

You know, you could do a lot worse than the Rotary chrono at Argos. They do a Breitling-looker for 70quid on a leather strap (looks like a navitimer) and the quality is fantastic for the money. I nearly bought one as a beater myself but my mate got one before me and I decided I didn't want the same one as him :-)

Something ghay and colourful? (and within price range)

Oaks Online :: ToyWatch

Actually, the 'ghay' bit was a joke.
I've got one of the 1001BL as a 'dossing around' watch and the quality is very good.

Didn't know about the celeb thing till just now.
The wife saw them in Flannels and bought me one for Chrimbo.

I didn't know about the Rolex connection either until a few people asked me about my 'Rolex' I was wearing

Personally, I wear Fossil watches, Ive had two and my first one lasted me 9 years, the only reason I got a new one was the 9 year old was just tired looking. They take a beating and a dropping and all the designs I think fit everyones style and taste.

Check it out.

Bit late now but G Shock Cockpit watches look good and last forever. About in budget too.

I have two G Shocks - both are almost impossible to fault.

Chris - I have one very similar to this - black ion coated metal strap, gets sickeningly abused (surf with it a lot, gardening with heavy equipment, etc, etc) and the battery has lasted over two years without any issues.

NEW CASIO G-SHOCK COCKPIT G-702BD G-702BD-1AV BLACK ION on eBay, also Men, Wristwatches, Watches, Jewellery (end time 24-May-09 13:14:20 BST)

Looks pretty good, does everything.

I then have another pure digi one for training.

No, not yet. I've been out working, so wouldn't have been in for the delivery.

Definitely doing it next week!
