Shed advice
We're planning on getting a new shed for the garden (either 6x4 or 8x6) with an apex roof.
We're budgetting on £300 - £400 max and want a proper shed not 1 that will last a few years then rot away.
There are so many differant types (shiplap, etc), some have a 10 year warranty, etc but which ones are the better quality, longer lasting?
I'm lead to belive getting 1 which is pressure treated is better but apart from that i need advice
Cheers

I think the pressure treated one would probably be the best, but that is only a guess.
Not sure but I think the max size you can have without Planning Permission is 8' X 6', might be worth a quiet check. You would probably find 6' X 4' would be too restricting.

A shed made from pressure treated timber will be quite expensive but should last at least 25 years without a lot needed doing to it. However if you don't mind giving it a coat of wood preservative every few years then a normal wooden shed of good construction will last at least as long and be much cheaper. You also have the option of changing it's colour with the latter if you wanted too.
Got a 10x8 pent roof shed from a local timber yard making fence panels, decking etc. Less than £400 (may have even been £300) I seem to remember, nice and solid, tongue and groove construction, ready treated, still looks as good as new a year on. Will re treat it next year
