Want a vintage oyster next although trying to be sensible with money in these credit crunch times.

That site prices are a little on the high side. RRP are above anything I've seen. So there discounts look good , but in truth are pretty poor.

They're advertising the Breitling Navitimer World with Leather strap (Same watch as mine) for RRP £3,720. Discount price £2,975.

I walked into a Jewelers and came out with that watch for £2,495. It was advertised at just over £3k. Not £3,720

I'm rather taken with the Omega Planet Ocean.

Rolex's are way too expensive now for what they are, they seem to raise the prices every month. Still, I love my GMT Master II Ceramic and wouldn't swap it for anything at the moment

I originally wanted a Rolex Submariner but the prices kept on rising and I kept on dithering so i decided to buy a 45.5 mm Omega Planet Ocean with an orange bezel and am very pleased with it; I also managed to get 20% of the full rrp from a well known high street jeweller.

A few of mine.

Front front to back and left to right.

Breitling Chronomat Evolution
Chase-Durer Trident FCXII
Breitling Jupitor Pilot
Rolex GMT MasterII Ceramic
Panerai Luminor Daylight
Chase-Durer Abyss
Ball Hydrocarbon Engineer Classic
Breitling Bentley Model 'T'
Omega Planet Ocean Chrono

Shuffled a bit...

Close Classic

My favourites at the moment, are my SeaDweller DeepSea and my Ball Hydrocarbon Engineer Chrono.

Possibly the best clasp in the world.

I have more photos of my other watches but they will not down load, I will have to figure out how to re-size and then I will post them all.

Later Yoza

Actually, no

One of my casios is a wave ceptor, and automatically syncs to the Rugby time signal once every 24 hours. But I get your point with the mechanical watches.

Not quite

It will unquestionably be more accurate during those 23 hours, 59 minutes and 59 seconds than any mobile phone clock which is not being updated daily

more accurate?
it's either accurate or its not, at least concede that to me.
It is either telling the correct time or it is fibbing, it may be bloody close, but inaccurate all the same.

your retort = epic fail

see a pattern here?

LOL

I would say being within a second (at most) of the actual time at all times throughout each and every day was pretty accurate.

Of course, if you want to start getting all pedantic over the precise interpretation and use of the word "accurate", then both the original post upon which I was commenting on deserves a mention for its use of the term "more accurate" and your use of the far from formal term "epic fail" in the context of literary excellence is somewhat ironic, don't you think ?
