haha absolutely fecking typical. Just goes to show their message that speed kills means absolutely **** all to him. I hope they ban him for longer than 2 years, due to his position and job.

Bets on him keeping his license?

Hmm - Be rather more interesting if he can get off on technicality based on knowing the design of the cameras!

Hoist by his own whatnot then.

Can hardly expect him to claim that his speedcams are innaccurate though, even if they are!

be interesting to see what happens, in theory he should get the worst possible punishment due to his job. but i'll bet he gets away with it.

"Anyone caught doing more than a ton faces an automatic ban of up to two years as well as a £2,500 fine."

Since when was doing 101mph worse than drink driving?

That's mental! I once got pulled over by Cheshire police at about 105mph and they were fine-ish with it. Gave me directions to where I was trying to get to, told me to tone the speed down a bit and let me on my way, no probs.

This was some time ago, driving an M reg Rover 214si, hate to think what would happen now!!

The government probably see it as your in control of your senses so you know you shouldnt be driving that fast, when your drunk you dont know what your doin. The government suck.

A way i've seen it recently is i was caught doin 99mph on a B road, and got charged with dangerous driving, not one other person on the road goin either way on a 6 mile stretch, perfect weather etc etc, Yet my mate crashed his car at such a speed that it landed on its side, he even admitted to the police that he had been speeding, he got charged with careless driving.
So what the government are saying is its ok to crash at speed but its really really bad if you just have the potential to crashing and keep full control of your car
