It might be sial ,but, bank cards have been getting stuck in cash machines ,when you go into the bank for help, the scammers remove your card with a tweezer style device ,also gaining your pin number, please pass it on.

Thanks for that it seems to have hit an area that it hasn't before ie the North West, and the method is slightly different to that used before ,according to the police, as it works in machines that have been adapted to normally not allow this.

In Liverpool they use the .. "I've got a knife" or the "I'm gonna break your face" method .. both seem to work well ...

Of course all it takes to beat these scams is a little common sense in completely covering the PIN pad whilst entering your PIN number.

Also, manufacturers like NCR and Wincor are now fitting anti-skimming devices which de-activate the machine when any metal object is placed by the card reader. We've tested the Wincor ones in our lab by sticking a knife or fork to the reader.

I had my card 'swallowed' yesterday at King's Cross Station.

Card was cancelled straight away with a phone call as I was at the machine, waiting for it to be switched off. Waited 30 mins and left it, safe that my money was ok.

Just had a call from my bank saying someone tried to buy something for £400 in Australia on my cancelled card.

Clever *******

I'd love someone to take mine as it'll have nothing in because my missis has beat them to it. I've not seen my wallet for months
