Default Grand designs tonight heads up

Should be a good 1, it features Ben Law extending the property.

I knew he'd been given permission to extend and had the clauses changed since the birth of his nipper.

Used to love this programme, but since they jumped on the eco bandwagon cannot be bothered with it so much.

Just get back to building diverse, modern, massive, environment damaging properties please

Loved the one i recently saw with the guy who had replacement hips and a heart bypass while managing the construction himself.

Still a great series I have to say, but would be nice to see some more new ones.

I'll have a look but Ben Law was one of my least favourites, I like the ones with floor to ceiling windows and dirty big ranges. The ones with 50000 inch tv's hidden behind period picture rails... You know the kind.

But non the less I will see what this fella has done to his den, Assuming he is back from the G20

Goes to show everyone has different tastes; I thought Barry's house was hideous. Not the worst by any means, but not my cup of tea.

But then I'm not a fan of semi-boxy designs that could be passed off as an office block or modern community centre. Still way better than mock tudor though, and kudos for pushing ahead with it.

What gets me with alot of these houses with full length/width windows, is in the bedrooms...where are the curtains/blinds? Not just for privacy, but more so to stop the sun shining through at the crack of dawn

Is this not just a full repeat where he's added a room as well as a wife and kiddie?

Least favourite has got to be the one were a builder bought an old chiurch, boxed in the balconey and put a tin "roman" pool in the middle of it.

I thought the way he interpreted his wife's statement that he couldn't have two motorcycles in her lounge was brilliant

For nice houses, look no further than Extreme Makeovers Home Edition lol

They had a few new projects at the start of the series. I think they've run out of people.

Post recession nobody can borrow enough to build a a 'grand design' anymore.
