Question Beer Sales Down

Have we all grown up and realised it's not clever and big to get pi55ed?

Supermarket sales well down, as well as in Pubs ...

Since I stopped smoking, I don't like the taste. That's probably it. Couple of bottles of red instead!.

Its too expensive to go out on a regular basis nowadays..

Its very easy to spend £40-£50 a night in the pub,and thats not a bender.Just beers, few games of pool, few quid in the jukebox etc..

20 yrs ago when i started boozing,Heineken was 89p a pint in my local. Its best part of £3.00 now.
Its ridiculous when a can is 70p..With greedy breweries and even greedier governments, the end of the local pub is not far away..

40 a week shutting at the moment aint it ?

Yes, I thought it was a report about pubs - but, no, supermarket sales are well down too.

I bet the pubs are more out of pocket. A pint/bottle in a proper night out pub not a local is always around £4'ish. You can't tell me thats right, I bought me mate a double vodka and redbull and it was £7, thnigs like this is helping put them out of business

Doesn't help when supermarkets put the beer on a good offer, then have none in stock. That often happens when I want to stock up.

Also it seems they are having less offers on it these days (well at least on what I drink). Tbh, it is getting more and more expensive in pubs, supermarkets and off licenses, and I guess at this time it is not a priority for many.

It's £2 a pint, around here, now, it was £2.35 a pint.

Then again, I don't drink nearly as much as I used to.

I prefer going out to pubs/clubs more when im abroad.Got 5 pubs near to me 2 of them are no longer pubs and have been reopened as chinese/cantonese restaurants. Now the pub closest to me is also up for sale and rumor is that will also become another eat in restaurant. It was always full of kids getting drunk and fighting anyway so alot of the older locals didn't bother going to it much..

I tend to drink more wine than beer these days, perhaps that's why? Just ordered a nice case of red from Virgin Wines

Ive cut down on alcohol intake this year, maybe thats where the sales have gone seriously though it is expensive. As said. £50 for an evening int he pub, not a Saturday getting hammered job, just a social night with a friend or two seems to cost a fortune now
