Burns - advice
2am..... Earlier, GF has burn't herself cooking with some hot fat.
Cold water 30 mins, lots of redness, no blisters or other colours of skin. She's in a fair bit of pain, dry dressing - sterile bandage and some ice (not direct).
Apart from painkillers (next resort) any advice??

It's only a minor burn,as there is no blistering.Cover it in Cling Film, and take a Mild painkiller..ibuprofen or paracetamol..if you lass can.
If it blisters,do not burst them.
Whatever you do,get the dry dressing off ASAP.

When I was unfortunate enough to be running pub and working in kitchens, I often used to burn myself. I always used to pop them and then apply a plaster.
And drink beer until I forgot

I once burnt two fingers and my thumb quite badly getting hold of a meatal skewer off a barbecue after a few glasses of red wine.
I spent the next TWO HOURS holding ice cubes in the fingers in exactly the same way as I'd gripped the skewer.
Next morning, no pain, no blisters, just a dried up area that fell off a week later.
